This resolution amends the disposition of said properties by accepting an unsolicited Offer to Purchase.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File No. 991410, adopted on January 18, 2000, declared surplus and directed that 800 West Center Street and part of the adjoining vacant lot located at 810 West Center Street be sold to a nonprofit organization for a pilot business economic development purpose, but the nonprofit organization was unable to rehabilitate said property; and

Whereas, Eller Media Company has submitted an unsolicited Offer to Purchase said properties for $5,000 to properly maintain their rooftop advertising billboard and to create retail development; and

Whereas, Eller Media Company will seek retail tenant(s) for said property; rehab the building according to the tenant specifications; and maintain the properties in accordance with the regulations and ordinances of the City of Milwaukee; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell 800 West Center Street and part of the adjoining vacant lot located at 810 West Center Street, Tax Key Nos. 312-1020-200-8 and 312-3507-9, to Eller Media Company at a fixed price of $5,000; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said properties and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106; and, be it
