Whereas, Section 800.037, Wis. Stats., provides that "The deposit in traffic cases shall be made as provided in s. 345.26. In boating cases, the deposit shall be made as provided in s. 23.66 and 23.67. The municipal court, with the approval of the governing body of the municipality, shall set the deposit schedule for all other cases"; and
Whereas, 2013 Wisconsin Act 53, effective November 9, 2013, authorizes an increase in court costs collected by a municipal court judge from a maximum of $28 to a maximum of $38; and
Whereas, The Judges of the Municipal Court have approved revision of the deposit schedule to reflect the change in authorized court costs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves and adopts the revised deposit schedule of the Municipal Court which is signed by the Judges of the Municipal Court, dated November 13, 2013, and attached to this file.
