Analysis:

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of chairs from US Bank.

Body:

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

Whereas, US Bank has offered to donate 250 chairs for use by the Milwaukee Police Department; and

Whereas, These chairs will be used by various areas within the police department; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept this donation of 250 chairs; and, be it

Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
