ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement that is less than three years old.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Wauwatosa has requested that an interconnection between sanitary sewer systems be eliminated at North 61st Street and West Clarke Street; and
Whereas, An open cut method of construction is required in North 61st Street; and
Whereas, This open cut will affect pavement less than three years old and subject to a pavement guarantee; and
Whereas, The City of Wauwatosa has determined that the elimination of this interconnection will reduce the possibility of a sewer backup in the sanitary sewer in North 61st Street as experienced during the flooding in June of 1997; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit to allow the construction in North 61st Street at West Clarke Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration of the affected street shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee and at no cost to the City.
