Body
Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account is used to promote the City’s economic development programs and attract new industry to the City; and
Whereas, Hip-Hop Week MKE was established as an official City event on April 17, 2018, by Common Council Resolution File Number 180004; and
Whereas, Hip-Hop MKE Week was developed to promote financial literacy, civic engagement, voter registration and healthy living; and
Whereas, The appropriation of up to $3,550 from the Community and Economic Development Committee Fund for Hip-Hop Week MKE will provide funding to support the events associated with Hip-Hop Week MKE; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $3,550 is appropriated from the 2018 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1310-S123-006300 to Hip-Hop Week MKE; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Clerk’s Office is authorized to accept up to $3,550 from the 2018 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account to support Hip-Hop Week MKE.
