Body
Whereas, The claimants, Patrick and Charlene Buckner, sustained damages in an incident involving repair activity conducted by the Milwaukee Water Works; and
Whereas, A negotiated settlement in the amount of $10,000.00 has been reached; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay this claim; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $10,000.00, payable to the order of Patrick Buckner and Charlene Buckner, in full and final settlement of the plaintiffs' claims against the City of Milwaukee, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to the Water Department Claims Account-636506 - Fund No. 0001 - Organization 149 - Program 2631 - Sub Class S118.
