Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (BFW) for work associated with the “Safe and Healthy Streets” project. This resolution also directs the City of Milwaukee Comptroller to transfer funds and establish project grant chartfield values for the work associated with this project. The MOU provides for 100 percent grantor funds, with the grantor share of $37,500 and a city share of $0.

Whereas, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be executed by the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works for planning and execution of the following project under the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program:

Safe and Healthy Streets
City of Milwaukee

Whereas, The Department of Public Works is on a project team with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin, Path to Platinum, academic researchers, and the Medical College of Wisconsin to develop programs and procedures to ensure successful implementation of the City’s recently adopted Complete Streets Policy.

Whereas, The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin is the grant recipient of the project and intends to distribute funds to the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin for for work associated with the Safe and Healthy Streets project through the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Progra...
