Substitute resolution relative to Community Development Block Grant allocations for Summer Youth activities.(CBGA)
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the award and use to the Community Block Grant Administration for the Community Development Block Grant funds for Summer Youth activities.
BODY:
Whereas, The Community Development Committee on June 21, 2000, approved funding in the amount of $150,000 for the Summer Youth grant program, as attached to this file, and the Common Council approved $50,000 to Milwaukee Public Schools for Summer Youth activities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that these funds are budgeted for the Community Block Grant Administration which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date;
2. Enter into subrecipient contracts as detailed in the grant budget; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is responsible for awarding subrecipient contracts of the 2000 approved activities for the Summer Youth grant program; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these projects are required to submit budget and activity reports in amounts and according to any conditions approved by the Common Council and the Mayor attached to and made part of this file and in conformance with File Number 74-92-5v to the Community Block Grant Administration and the City Comptroller for their review and approval; and, be it
Further Resolved, That payments for CDBG costs incurred shall be paid in accordance with approved CDBG reimbursement policy based on the approval by the Community Block Administration and City Comptroller of a Budget Forecast (CDA-51); and, be it
