Analysis

This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

6th Aldermanic District

N. 7th St. - 290 feet m/l south of W. Chambers St. to W. Chambers St. (SM495020102) File Number 010040:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $148,000)

7th Aldermanic District

N. 24th Pl. - W. Lloyd St. to W. Medford Ave. (SM495020124) File Number 010600:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $252,000)

W. Lloyd St. - N. 24th Pl. to N. 27th St. (SM495020128) File Number 010600:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $73,000)

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
