Substitute resolution authorizing a contract extension for fee-for-service dental care with Delta Dental/WPS for 2 years.

This resolution authorizes the Department of Employe Relations to prepare and execute an amendment to the agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Delta Dental/WPS to provide fee-for-service dental services for a 2-year period from January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2002.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee contracts with Delta Dental/WPS for fee-for-service dental services will expire on December 31, 2000; and

Whereas, Delta Dental/WPS has submitted rates for a 2-year extension to the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, Delta Dental/WPS has been responsive to the needs of City employes since 1997; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Director of Employe Relations is authorized to prepare and complete an amendment to the agreement for a 2-year extension with Delta Dental/WPS.
