This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install a new traffic control signal at the intersection of West Rosedale Avenue and South 6th Street in the 14th Aldermanic District with funding from the Department of Public Works capital fund at an estimated cost of $100,000.

Whereas, The traffic volumes at the intersection of West Rosedale Avenue and South 6th Street exceed federal warrants in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for the installation of a traffic control signal; and
Whereas, The installation of a traffic control signal at the intersection of West Rosedale Avenue and South 6th Street will provide for a better exchange of right-of-way over the existing stop control; and
Whereas, The estimated cost of the installation of a traffic control signal is $100,000, and is included in the Department of Public Works traffic signal capital fund approved under Common Council File Number 161187; and
Whereas, The installation of a traffic control signal at West Rosedale Avenue and South 6th Street is scheduled for summer 2017; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to install a new traffic control signal at the intersection of West Rosedale Avenue and South 6th Street using funding from the Department of Public Works capital fund.
