Analysis
This resolution effectuates a provision of the 2004 adopted city budget relating to expenditure of $2.5 million provided in the Capital Improvements Budget - DPW. The resolution requires, prior to release of funds for the Menomonee Valley Relocation, that DPW submit a plan for Common Council review and approval.
Body
Whereas, The 2004 adopted city budget provides $2.5 million in the DPW's budget for the Menomonee Valley Relocation; and
Whereas, The Menomonee Valley Relocation project plans involve relocating Infrastructure, Sewer, Electrical Services and Building Services Garages and office from their current location on Canal Street in the Menomonee Valley; and
Whereas, This 2004 fund allocation represents only the first phase of expenditures for the relocation project; and
Whereas, By amendment and footnote to the 2004 adopted city budget, the Common Council wishes to ensure that this relocation is designed efficiently and within budget; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that release of funds for the first phase of the relocation is contingent upon approval by the Common Council of a plan for the various facilities submitted by the DPW.
