Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File # 200252 authorizing the Health Department to accept and fund the Bioterrorism Grant - Focus CRI (Cities Readiness Initiative) from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The purpose of the grant is to aid cities in increasing their capacity to deliver medicines and medical supplies during a large-scale public health emergency.

BODY
Whereas, Common Council File # 200252 authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the 2020-2021 Bioterrorism Grant - Focus CRI (Cities Readiness Initiative) Grant from the State of Wisconsin-Department of Health Services for the purpose of respond to aid cities in increasing their capacity to deliver medicines and medical supplies during a large-scale public health emergency. This grant provided a grantor share total of $168,028 with no city match.

Whereas, the grantor share for this program is increased by $76,337; and the total cost is increased by $76,377; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of this grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2020 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Bioterrorism Grant Focus CRI:
