Substitute resolution amending a special privilege for change of ownership to Jeffrey and Ellen Bogart for encroachment into the public right-of-way of existing items for the building at 500 South 3rd Street, in the 12th Aldermanic District in the City of Milwaukee.
Analysis
This resolution grants an amended special privilege to Jeffrey and Ellen Bogart for encroachment into the public right-of-way of a backup driveway, a concrete stairway, and an excess door swing for the building at 500 South 3rd Street.
Body
Whereas, Eagle Knitting Mills, a Division of Zwicker Knitting Mills received permission to keep and maintain a backup driveway, a set of concrete steps, and a single concrete step; and

Whereas, The permission that was granted in 1969 by adoption of Common Council Resolution File Number 68-2260 contained permission for items in rights-of-way at other properties that they owned or rented; and

Whereas, Eagle Knitting Mills, a Division of Zwicker Knitting Mills, subsequently requested permission to reconstruct and maintain said backup driveway at the time of a City of Milwaukee scheduled paving project; and

Whereas, The permission was granted in 1982 by adoption of Common Council Resolution File Number 82-505; and

Whereas, Jeffrey and Ellen Bogart are now the owners of the property; and

Whereas, A site visit to 500 South 3rd Street revealed that the single concrete step has been removed from the public right-of-way; however, an excess door swing encroachment for a door that previously opened over the concrete step is still present; and

Whereas, Some of the other items of Common Council Resolution File Number 68-2260 were formally transferred under CommonCouncil File Number 910891 to the owner of that property; and

Whereas, The remaining items will be addressed in a subsequent separate housekeeping-type manner; and
