This resolution authorizes the acceptance and expenditure of contributions of up to $15,000 by the Department of City Development, Office of Employment and Youth Services to fund youth education, employment and training programs serving youth and young adults.
BODY:
Whereas, On July 6, 1993 the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee passed an ordinance, File No. 930380, which created guidelines for handling the authorization and expenditure of contributions received by the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development, Office of Employment and Youth Services anticipates receiving up to $15,000 in contributions to support education, employment and training programs serving youth and young adults; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development, Office of Employment and Youth Services is authorized to accept up to $15,000 of contributions to support education, employment, and training programs to service youth and young adults and to expend such funds for these purposes, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a Special Account within the Department of City Development's budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
