Resolution authorizing an easement with We Energies on City of Milwaukee property at 1800 and 1900 South Marina Drive in the 14^th Aldermanic District. 

Analysis

This resolution authorizes an easement for underground distribution on City-owned properties.

Body

Whereas, We Energies is requesting a twelve foot wide underground distribution easement that crosses the City-owned property at 1900 South Marina Drive and terminates on 1800 South Marina Drive; and

Whereas, This easement will benefit Michels Corporation who is leasing 1800 South Marina Drive from Port Milwaukee and will provide power to the ferry slip, yard lighting, and other improvements on the site; and

Whereas, A copy of the easement and related map is attached to this Common Council File; and

Whereas, We Energies agrees to a fee of $3,000; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development, the City Attorneys Office, and Port Milwaukee have reviewed the easement and recommends approval; now, therefore, bet

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the underground distribution easement with We Energies at 1800 and 1900 South Marina Drive is approved and the Director of Port Milwaukee, or designee, is authorized to execute the easement.
