Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Common Council to assign and transfer funds from the 2024 One Milwaukee Citizen-Led Transformational Fund Special Purpose Account to various departments for various purposes.

Body

Whereas, The One Milwaukee Citizen-Led Transformational Fund Special Purpose Account (SPA) in the 2024 Adopted Budget contained $2.4 million, made available by the substitution of unallocated and reprogrammed American Rescue Plan Act funds; and

 

Whereas, Common Council File Number 231176, adopted in December 2023, directs the Department of Administration to promote the One Milwaukee Citizen-Led Transformational Fund Special Purpose Account to the philanthropic community for possible contributions; now, therefore be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the remaining funds in the One Milwaukee Citizen-Led Transformational Fund Special Purpose Account are transferred to a new Common Council-controlled Special Purpose Account to be known as the Council-Led Transfer Fund Special Purpose Account; and

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to make the necessary fund transfer(s) and create the necessary account(s) to effectuate the intent of this resolution.
