This resolution appropriates $4,175.01 from the 2003 Common Council Contingent Fund to the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships to cover a shortage in that account.
Body
Whereas, The 2003 City Budget includes funding in the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships to cover membership fees in professional and governmental organizations for various City officials and staff; and
Whereas, The actual membership fees for the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, National League of Cities and the Wisconsin Alliance of Cities all exceeded the budgeted estimates for 2003; and
Whereas, As a result, there are insufficient funds remaining to pay the following memberships: American Management Associations ($1,800), Government Finance Officers Association ($1,495) and the Public Policy Forum ($1,000); now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $4,175.01 is appropriated from the 2003 Common Council Contingent Fund (0001-9990-0001-06300) to the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships (0001-1310-S148-006300).
