Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Breast Cancer Awareness Grant. (Health Department)

Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Breast Cancer Awareness Grant from the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $115,200. The purpose of the program is to provide outreach health care services related to mammography screening.

Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for outreach health care services related to mammography screening; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant program from 01/01/04 to 12/31/04(CFDA #435.119) would cost $115,200 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2004 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the program titled Breast Cancer Awareness Grant:
