Substitute resolution relative to application for the Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant.

ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for a Fetal Infant Mortality Review Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the Black Health Coalition. The grant will resume the interdisciplinary review of infant deaths in eight zip codes in the central city of Milwaukee to identify opportunities to reduce infant mortality and support families at risk.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the Black Health Coalition to resume the interdisciplinary review of infant deaths in eight zip codes in the central city of Milwaukee to identify opportunities to reduce infant mortality and support families at risk; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to The Black Health Coalition is authorized.
