Analysis
Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a 1st Revision to a State/Municipal Agreement for a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) project with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the Hopkins Protected Bike Lane project for a revision to the project limits. The north/western termini of the project are being revised from 34th Street to 240’ West of North 31st Street. Execution of the original State Municipal Agreement was authorized under the File Number 230183.
Body
Whereas, A revised project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the planning, design, and construction of the Hopkins Protected Bike Lane project.

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be liable for any costs incurred by the State should the City decide to withdraw from the project; and

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the Project Agreement for the programming, planning, design, and construction of the aforementioned project with Federal aid under the ...
