This resolution authorizes the sale of a vacant lot owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, The adjoining owners, John W. Rosso and Kent B. Shy and Cathy Cook, with their properties located at 2435 South 5th Place and 2441-41A South 5th Place, have offered to purchase the vacant, City-owned lot located at 2439-39A South 5th Place, Tax Roll Key No. 498-0547-2, from the City of Milwaukee containing 1,440 square feet for the amount of $144 each for use as green space; and
Whereas, This vacant, City-owned/tax deed lot is being sold in an "as is" condition; and
Whereas, Should either adjoining owner not comply with the intent of this resolution, the full lot may be sold to the adjoining owner in compliance without further Common Council action; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offers, the sale of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed/City-owned lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said vacant lot is declared surplus, said Offers are accepted, and the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to Reserve for Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 01-191-99-44.
