Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the properties at 2122-24 North 27th Street and 2140 North 27th Street for sale to Mid Town Neighborhood Association for residential development in the 15th Aldermanic District. (Redevelopment Authority)
Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey said land according to the conditions in the Land Disposition Report.
Body
Whereas, The Mid Town Neighborhood Association proposes to develop the block bounded by North 26th, North 27th, West Lloyd Streets and West Garfield Avenue with new residential construction for sale to qualified owner-occupants; and
Whereas, On March 18, 2004, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee held a Public Hearing on the proposed sale as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Redevelopment Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated March 18, 2004, with respect to the proposed sale of the following property is approved:

REDEVELOPER
Mid Town Neighborhood Association
; and, be it
Further Resolved, That in the event the Mid Town Neighborhood Association fails to close on the sale of said lots, the City of Milwaukee is authorized to assemble and sell buildable lots for development of owner-occupied housing and that no further action by the Common Council is required.
