This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said streets and alleys in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee to replat the Parklawn subdivision.
BODY:
Whereas, It has been proposed by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that all of the streets and alleys between West Hope Street and West Congress Street and North Sherman Boulevard and North 47th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, The vacation of said streets and alleys is necessary for replatting; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said streets and alleys in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
