This resolution authorizes the Department of Employe Relations - Employe Benefits Division to negotiate extension of health, dental and fringe benefit contracts between the City of Milwaukee and Fringe Benefits Management Company; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Wisconsin; CNR Health; Wisconsin Physicians Service; Compcare Health Services; Family Health Plan; Primecare Health Plan; Humana/Wisconsin Health Organization; Managed Health Services; Care-Plus Benefits Plans, Inc.; Smileage Dental Insurance Company; and Dentalcare Dental Plan, for the period between January 1, 1998 and December 31, 1998. The contracts shall be submitted to the Common Council for approval.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File 960386 on July 30, 1996, approving the extension of the contract between the City of Milwaukee and Fringe Benefits Management Company for one year period from January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997; and

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File 960388 on July 30, 1996, approving contracts between the City of Milwaukee and Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin for preferred provider health services, the City of Milwaukee and CNR Health for case management utilization review services, and the City of Milwaukee and Wisconsin Physicians Service for administration services for City Basic Plan participants through December 31, 1997; and

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File 960256 on July 26, 1995, approving contracts for prepaid medical care services with Compcare Health Services, Family Health Plan, Primecare Health Plan, Humana/Wisconsin Health Organization and Managed Health Services for a year period from January 1, 1997 - Decemb...
