Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the AIDS/HIV Testing and Counseling Grant project from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $48,000 provided by the grantor. The purpose of the grant is to assist in funding the Health Department's AIDS/HIV Testing and Counseling Site activities.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services to aid the Health Department's AIDS/HIV Counseling Site in its activities; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 07/01/00 to 06/30/01 would cost $48,000 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2001 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the project titled AIDS/HIV Testing and Counseling Grant:
