Analysis

This resolution approves a parking agreement between the City of Milwaukee and North Edison, LLC, at the 1000 North Water Street parking structure to lease 100 parking spaces from April 1, 2027 through March 31, 2032.

Body

Whereas, The Edison is a mixed-use development including 378 residential units and over 7,000 square feet of commercial space at 1005 North Edison Street owned by North Edison, LLC.; and

Whereas, Construction of The Edison is expected to be completed 2027; and

Whereas, North Edison, LLC, requested an agreement to lease 100 parking spaces in the City-owned 1000 North Water Street parking structure to serve The Edison development; and

Whereas, The initial term of the lease will be from April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2032; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the attached lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and North Edison, LLC is approved; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are authorized to execute the lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and North Edison, LLC.
