Title
Resolution authorizing and directing the proper City officers to execute
Grant of Permission, WE876 with the Department of Public Works of
the City of Milwaukee. (Water Works)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the proper City officers to execute
a Grant of Permission (Easement) with the Department of Public Works of
the City of Milwaukee for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a
water main across City of Milwaukee property.
BODY:
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works is desirous of operating and
maintaining a water main in City of Milwaukee property at the
southwest corner of West Lisbon Avenue and North 49th Street;
Whereas, This Grant of Permission is necessary because said water
main is located in a portion of the right-of-way at the southwest
corner of West Lisbon Avenue and North 49th Street which has been
vacated and the owner of said portion of land is now the City of Milwaukee;
Whereas, The terms of said Grant of Permission are set out and attached to
this file and approved as to content by the Superintendent of the Milwaukee
Water Works; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute
Grant of Permission WE876, said document being attached to and
part of this file; and, be it
Further Resolved, That after said Grant of Permission has been executed
by the proper City officers, it shall be forwarded to the Office of the City
Attorney for approval as to form and execution and then to the Office
of City Real Estate for recording and proper distribution.
