This resolution amends the disposition of said property by directing that it be sold to a nonprofit organization proposing use of as a residence, a job screening and placement center, an adult and teen tutoring area, and a community meeting hall.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File No. 970172, adopted on June 3, 1997, declared surplus and directed that the Department of City Development sell 4113-15 West North Avenue via the open listing method; and

Whereas, Community of Faith Alliance, a nonprofit organization, has offered to purchase said property for $200 for the proposed use as a residence, a job screening and placement center, an adult and teen tutoring area, and a community meeting hall; and

Whereas, Community of Faith Alliance has offered to leave this property on the City of Milwaukee tax rolls or pay an amount annually equal to the real estate tax that would be levied for this location; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell the surplus, improved, tax deed property located at 4113-15 West North Avenue, Tax Roll Key No. 348-0457-6, to Community of Faith Alliance at a fixed price of $200 provided that Community of Faith Alliance obtains any and all regulatory approvals and permits as may be required to operate the type of facility proposed; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700; and, be it
