Body
Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account is used to promote the City’s economic development programs; and
Whereas, The annual MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit is a free event, open to the public, that has supported local entrepreneurs for over a decade; and
Whereas, The MKE Business aims to support the growth of local entrepreneurship, provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs, and stimulate the local economy, therefore; be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $7,500 is appropriated from the 2023 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1310-S123-006300 to the MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit for the purposes of accepting City funds to be used to promote and support the work of the event.
