Substitute resolution relating to community development block grant allocation procedures.
ANLS:
This resolution establishes the distribution and allocation of funding for community development activity in the City of Milwaukee for 1998 and authorizes the Community Block Grant Administration to create and submit a revised Consolidated Plan for the City of Milwaukee. It rescinds Common Council File 900956 and 890424, specifies new resolutions to be used annually to approve areas of funding and eliminates the Funding Allocation Plan.
BODY:
Whereas, The Community Development Policy Committee, after hearing public testimony, has accepted Neighborhood Strategic Plans from 17 neighborhoods and has endorsed them as being representative of the planning desires of neighborhood stakeholders; and

Whereas, The Community Development Policy Committee, after hearing public testimony, has accepted the recommendation of funding distribution for Mandated/Essential services, for City Strategic Objectives, Administration and funding non- Neighborhood Strategic Plan (non-NSP) targeted areas and has endorsed them as funding formulas for 1998; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for community development entitlement funding for 1998 estimated at $29,370,000; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that community development funding be allocated and distributed to the 17 Neighborhood Strategic Planning Areas (NSP) in the amounts as follows:
