Title:          

Resolution authorizing the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of office furniture from Harrisdirect LLC.  (Police Department).

Analysis:      

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of office furniture for use within the facilities of the Milwaukee Police Department by Harrisdirect LLC.  

Body:

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

Whereas, Harrisdirect LLC has offered to donate office furniture to the Milwaukee Police Department; and

Whereas, This office equipment will enhance the facilities of the Milwaukee Police Department and allow for more workstations; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of office equipment from Harrisdirect LLC; and, be it

Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
