Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 1st Street (STH 32) from East Florida St. to East St. Paul Ave. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $3,227,000 with a City share of $183,001 and a grantor share of $3,043,999. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $257,000 with an estimated City share of $64,250 and a grantor share of $192,750. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for real estate acquisition at an estimated cost of $15,000 with an estimated City share of $0 and a grantor share of $15,000. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 1st Street (STH 32) from East Florida St. to East St. Paul Ave with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and
