Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (the “Authority”) has been a national leader in housing for over 75 years and currently provides high-quality, affordable housing options to over 10,000 Milwaukee families, seniors and disabled adults; and
WHEREAS, the Authority is responsible for the management of the market rate properties known as Berryland, Northlawn and Southlawn pursuant to that certain Sale, Lease and Reconveyance Agreement (HACM 2015 Series A & B Bonds) dated as of May ___, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Travaux, Inc. (an instrumentality of the Authority) is currently providing management services to Berryland, Northlawn and Southlawn (Developments) under the existing Cooperation Agreement (Contract for Receipt and Furnishing of Services, Materials and Equipment between the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee and Travaux, Inc.) dated February 1st 2018; and
WHEREAS, Travaux, Inc. and the Authority intend to formalize the management of the Developments by formalizing Travaux’s obligations in accordance with all laws, procedures, and regulations as defined in the Property Management Agreement (the “Agreement”) which shall be for an initial term of one year and which shall be renewed and extended annually until formally revoked at the option of either party by giving at least 60 days notice;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President of Travaux, Inc., or his designee, is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to enter into and execute the Agreement with the Authority and all such actions previously taken related thereto are hereby approved and ratified; and be it.
