Analysis:      
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of various communication equipment from Bi-Audio, to be used by Department members in the performance of their duties.  
 
Body:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
 
Whereas, Bi-Audio, a wholly owned division of the Koss Corporation, has offered to donate various communication equipment to test and use within the Milwaukee Police Department; and
 
Whereas, This equipment will provide more opportunity for police dispatchers, telecommunicators, and other Department members to more efficiently perform their duties; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of various communication equipment from Bi-Audio; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
