Substitute resolution authorizing attendance at conventions in 2002 by employees of city departments and board and commission members and further authorizing expenditure of departmental budgeted funds for that purpose.

Body:
Whereas, Funding for convention travel for city employees and board and commission members listed in Exhibit A has been included in the 2002 Budget in the operating accounts of those departments, boards, and commissions; and

Whereas, This resolution is in accordance with travel regulations and procedures in Section 350-181 of the Milwaukee code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that attendance at conventions in 2002 as listed on Exhibit A attached to Common Council File No. 011279, is hereby authorized; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the funds for attendance for the conventions listed in Exhibit A is provided from the operating accounts of the departments, boards, and commissions requesting attendance; and, be it

Further Resolved, That attendance of the following person(s) at the following convention(s) and/or seminar(s) is approved, and the funds specified are authorized to be allocated from the departmental budgeted funds:

1. Ald. Cameron (CC-CC); "2002 National Urban League Conference"; July 26 –31, 2002: Los Angeles, CA; $1,547.00.

2. Ald. Pawlinski (CC-CC); "NUSA 2002 Annual Conference"; Houston, TX; May 22 – 26, 2002; $1,276.00.

; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the dollar amount shown for each authorized convention, Seminar and other travel listed above and in Exhibit A is simply an ESTIMATE of the convention, seminar and other travel attendance expenses and is included to facilitate the necessary dollar advances for such purposes; and, be it
