Resolution amending Resolution File Number 100118 to establish the method for filling vacancies on the African-American Male Unemployment Task Force.
Analysis
Resolution File Number 100118, adopted July 7, 2010, created the African American Male Unemployment Task Force and established the composition of the task force. This resolution amends Resolution File Number 100118 by establishing a method for the filling of vacancies. Under this resolution, an appointment to fill a vacancy for a member originally appointed by the Mayor shall be made by the Mayor, and all other appointments for vacancies shall be made by the Common Council President.

Whereas, The Common Council created an African-American Male Unemployment Task Force by Resolution File Number 100118, adopted July 7, 2010; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 100118 established the composition of members of the task force; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 101127, adopted February 8, 2011, amended File Number 100118, extending the period of authority, responsibilities and activities of the task force for an additional 6 months; and
Whereas, The task force presently has 2 vacancies and may experience additional vacancies in the extended timeframe of the activities of the task force; and
Whereas, The task force has determined that it requires a method to fill present and future vacancies to assure successful completion of its work; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That Resolution File Number 100118 shall be amended, by adding as a second "Further Resolved clause," the following:
"Further Resolved, An appointment to fill a vacancy for a member originally appointed by the Mayor shall be made by the Mayor, and all other appointments for vacancies shall be made by the Common Council President."
