Analysis
This resolution reverses the February 14, 2003, decision of the Historic Preservation Commission denying a certificate appropriateness for a request to retain 3 ornamental security doors at 3237-39 North Sherman Boulevard. This resolution would, in effect, grant the certificate of appropriateness.
Body

Whereas, The owner of this property has requested a certificate of appropriateness for the purpose of retaining 3 ornamental security doors that had been recently installed at this duplex; and
Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission, on February 14, 2003, rejected this request after a public hearing; and
Whereas, The owner of this property, pursuant to s. 308-81-9-f of the Milwaukee Code, is entitled to appeal this decision of the Historic Preservation Commission to the Common Council, and has filed a request for a hearing of his appeal in a timely manner; now, therefore, be it
