Whereas, Eileen Wolf filed claims in the Equal Rights Division of the State of Wisconsin and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission of the United States seeking damages for alleged instances of discrimination as an employee of the Milwaukee Police Department; and
Whereas, The titles of those cases are Eileen Wolf v. City of Milwaukee Police Department, ERD Case No. CR201101822, EEOC Case No. 268201302504; and Eileen Wolf v. City of Milwaukee Police Department, ERD Case No. 201302504, EEOC case No. 26G201301376C; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee carries potential liability for alleged instances of discrimination against Eileen Wolf as an employee of the Milwaukee Police Department; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it is expeditious and just to settle these claims, and now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers are directed to issue a City check in the amount of $8500, payable to Eileen Wolf, and to document payment with a 1099 form, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, and that these funds shall be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 0001-1490-S118-006300.
