This resolution will dedicate City-owned land for public alley purposes to widen a portion of the alley in the block bounded by West Finn Place, West Nash Street, North Teutonia Avenue and North 20th Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee acquired a certain parcel of land, south of West Nash Street and west of North Teutonia Avenue, by Tax Deed dated and recorded on March 20, 1989 as Document Number 6260695 in Reel 2312 and Image 477; and
Whereas, The vehicular traffic using the alley adjacent to said parcel of City-owned land has severely rutted the City property by driving off the alley pavement when turning onto West Nash Street; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described City-owned land hereby is set aside and dedicated for public alley purposes:
That part of Lot 46 in Block 1 of Kennan and Hiles's Subdivision, a recorded subdivision, in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 7, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 46; thence Easterly, along the north line of Lot 46, 4.00 feet to a point, thence Southerly, as measured normal to said north line, 18.98 feet to a point in the westerly line of Lot 46; thence Northwesterly, along said westerly line, 19.40 feet to the point of commencement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby directed to have a certified copy of this resolution recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County.
