Title

Substitute resolution relating to the creation of the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee.

Analysis

This resolution renames the Granville Advisory Committee to the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee.  It also expands the area under the purview of the Committee.

Body

Whereas, On October 16, 2012, the Common Council adopted File Number 120503, a resolution creating Business Improvement District No. 48 (Granville), the boundaries of which are currently W. County Line Rd., Good Hope Rd., N. 60^th St. and N. 95^th St.; and

Whereas, On April 18, 2017, the Common Council adopted File Number 161759, creating the Granville Development Advisory Committee to aid the development of the neighborhood; and

Whereas, The Committee can best benefit the local area by expanding the area it serves; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Granville Advisory Committee is renamed the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Committee; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the boundaries under the Committee’s purview shall be: W. County Line Rd., Good Hope Rd., N. 43^rd St., and N. 107^th St.; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Committee shall consist of three residents,  property owners, or business owners within Granville and three residents, property owners, or business owners  within Havenwoods, all of whom shall be nominated by the local Common Council member and approved by the Common Council.
