This resolution will allow the Village of Menomonee Falls to construct a sanitary sewer main within the City of Milwaukee right-of-way in West Mill Road between the existing Metropolitan Interceptor Sewer (MIS) manhole approximately 400 feet east of the City of Milwaukee Limits and the Menomonee Falls/City of Milwaukee boundary.
BODY:
Whereas, On July 20, 1998, the Village of Menomonee Falls adopted Resolution No. 23-R-98, a copy of which is made part of Common Council File No. 980733 requesting that the City of Milwaukee grant permission to the Village of Menomonee Falls to excavate and install a Village sanitary sewer main within and/or adjacent to the right-of-way of West Mill Road between the existing MIS manhole and the Menomonee Falls Village Limits during the 1999 construction season; and
Whereas, The Village of Menomonee Falls also requested with Resolution No. 23-R-98 that the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) approve the connection to the existing MIS manhole along West Mill Road approximately 400 feet east of the Menomonee Falls Village Limits; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Village of Menomonee Falls is granted permission to excavate and install a village sanitary sewer main within the right-of-way of West Mill Road between the existing MIS manhole and the Menomonee Falls Village limits during the 1999 construction season under the following conditions:
1. That MMSD approves said connection.
2. That construction plans for the sanitary sewer main constructed in West Mill Road shall be submitted to the City Engineer for review and comments prior to advertising for construction bids.
