Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of four surplus, vacant, tax-deed lots for new residential construction.
Body
Whereas, The Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation ("NIDC") has offered to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lots at 1804, 1808, 1810 and 1832 North 36th Street for $1 each for construction of three single-family homes; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of said offer contingent upon site plan approval and completion of the project within 9 months from the date of closing; and
Whereas, The sale of said lots will be in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lots are declared surplus, that said offer from NIDC is accepted, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution, and that the proceeds from the sale be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
