This ordinance reduces the permit fees charged for the temporary occupancy or use of various public ways. These fees were last increased by Council File Number 990471, enacted September 28, 1999 and effective January 1, 2000. This ordinance reduces these fees to the level set by Council File Number 980534, enacted July 24, 1998 and effective August 12, 1998.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 81-102-3-a to c of the code is amended to read:

81-102. Public Ways: Permits for Temporary Occupancy or Use as Public Ways.

3. SIDEWALKS.

a. The fee for a period of 7 days or less shall be [[$109]] >>$72<<.

b. For a period of 8 to 30 days, the fee shall be [[$177]] >>$117<<.

c. The fee for each succeeding month or portion thereof beyond 30 days shall be [[$177]] >>$117<<.

Part 2. Section 81-102-4-a to c of the code is amended to read:

4. PARKING LANES.

a. The fee for a period of 7 days or less shall be [[$121]] >>$80<<.

b. For a period of 8 to 30 days, the fee shall be [[$215]] >>$142<<.

c. The fee for each succeeding month or portion thereof beyond 30 days shall be [[$215]] >>$142<<.

Part 3. Section 81-102-5-a to c of the code is amended to read:

5. TRAFFIC LANES AND ALLEYS.

a. The fee for a period of 7 days or less shall be [[$144]] >>$95<<.

b. For a period of 8 to 30 days, the fee shall be [[$279}} >>$184<<.

c. The fee for each succeeding month or portion thereof beyond 30 days shall be [[$279]] >>$184<<.
