Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portion of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary to realign West Wright Street in conjunction with the West Fond du Lac Avenue reconstruction project.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of West Wright Street located on the North Side of West Fond du Lac Avenue and West of North 24th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of street in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
