Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58152 during the period February 27, 2026 through March 20, 2026 for Elevator Modernization at Hillside Terrace; and
WHEREAS, two (2) sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM CDT on March 20, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on March 20, 2026, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, William Sackerson Construction Co. Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $574,606.00; therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approves accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with William Sackerson Construction Co. Inc. for Elevator Modernization at Hillside Terrace; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the CFP 2024; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any change orders including the time of performance are needed, the Chairperson and Acting Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Commissioners of the Housing Authority; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
