Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1997 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 961002 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Police Department, amend footnote "(J)" to read: "(J) State Drug Abatement Grant: Positions to expire 6/30/98 unless the State Drug Abatement Grant is extended." and amend footnote "(S) to read: "State Beat Patrol Grant: To expire 12/31/98 unless the Beat Patrol Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance is extended."
Under "Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, Construction Decision Unit, Contract Administration", delete one position of "Accounting Assistant I" and add one position of "Office Assistant IV."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 961002 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 1996 - June 30, 1996):
Under "Municipal Court, Management and Administration", delete one position of "Program Assistant II" and add one position of "Network Specialist I."
Under "Election Commission", delete one position of "Office Assistant II" and add one position of "Office Assistant III."
Under "Department of Public Works-Forestry Division, Field Operations", delete three positions of "Office Assistant III" and add three positions of "Office Assistant IV."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 1996 (June 30, 1996).
