This resolution directs the Election Commission to provide alternative in-person absentee voting at the following locations for the 2026 fall election cycle:

1. Zeidler Municipal Building, 841 N Broadway
2. Midtown Voting Center, 4170 N 56th St
3. Zablocki Library, 3501 W Oklahoma Ave
4. American Serb Hall, 5101 W Oklahoma Ave
5. Washington Park Senior Center, 4420 W Vliet St
6. Tippecanoe Library, 3912 S Howell Ave
7. Good Hope Library, 7715 W Good Hope Rd
8. Clinton Rose Senior Center, 3045 N Martin Luther King Jr. Dr
9. Mitchell Street Library, 906 W Historic Mitchell St
10. University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, 2419 E Kenwood Blvd
11. Marquette University, 1442 W Wisconsin Ave
12. Villard Square Library, 5190 N 35th St.

Whereas, voting is both a right and a vital core of a healthy democracy; and

Whereas, Section 6.855, Wis. Stats., allows the Common Council to designate alternate locations for in-person absentee voting; and

Whereas, voting by mail is not the best option for every voter; and

Whereas, During the 2024 General Election, over 67,000 voters cast ballots at in- person absentee voting locations, breaking records for early voting in the city of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, In-Person Absentee Voting continues to increase in popularity for all elections.

Whereas, providing in-person absentee voting at more sites offers greater opportunities to voters throughout the city and may further racial equity and access to in-person voting opportunities; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Election Commission provide additional absentee voting at the following locations for the 2026 fall election cycle:
