Analysis
This resolution terminates the existing sister city relationship between the City of Milwaukee and Daegu Metropolitan City, as the duration has expired and there is no expectation for renewal.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee’s sister city relationship with Daegu Metropolitan City has completed its five year duration and was set to expire on September 20^th, 2022; and

Whereas, The local sponsoring organization of the partnership, The Water Council, has formally withdrawn from the relationship; and

Whereas, The Sister Cities Committee recommends that the sister city relationship be terminated due to inactivity, lack of community interest, and absence of sponsorship; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 160733, adopted on March 28^th, 2017, is rescinded, thereby terminating the sister city relationship with Daegu Metropolitan City.
