This resolution authorizing settlement of the lawsuit entitled Guillermo Rosales v. City of Milwaukee, in the amount of $21,000.00. _______________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, the plaintiff, Guillermo Rosales has filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee in the amount of $30,000.00; and
Whereas, the plaintiff has agreed to settle the lawsuit in the amount of $21,000.00; and
Whereas, the City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this claim, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $21,000.00, payable to the order of Guillermo Rosales and his attorneys, Brennan, Ramirez, Wilmouth and Sesini, in full and final settlement of this claim upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to Account No. 01-013-8001.
